Big feelings welcome. Good deeds celebrated.
Good Deeds Closet
Do good. Choose something good.
A TKN Creative Resilience Foundation community clothing program for children and teens in San Diego County, with an emphasis on North County.

Our mission
Kindness, belonging, and a new story for every piece.
The Good Deeds Closet helps young people experience the joy of contributing to their community while giving pre-loved clothing a new story. Children are welcomed for who they are, invited to help in ways that fit their age and abilities, and given the dignity of choosing clothes they feel good wearing.
Families and neighbors donate clean, good-condition clothing. Young people complete safe, age-appropriate good deeds, then choose an available item. Kindness, effort, and participation matter more than perfection.
One approved good deed → one clothing choice.
For our initial pilot, one completed, TKN-approved deed leads to one available clothing selection. There are no points, account balances, purchases, or checkout payments.
Small acts. Meaningful connections.
1. Choose a deed
A caregiver and TKN Guide agree on a safe, useful activity that fits the young person's age and abilities. Activities should not require the family to spend money.
2. Do good
Complete the activity with appropriate adult support. The caregiver lets the Guide know when it is done. No public proof or child photo is required.
3. Choose clothing
Browse donated pieces together. The caregiver requests an item, and TKN confirms availability and pickup. A request alone does not reserve clothing.
A deed might be making welcome cards, helping sort supplies, joining a supervised cleanup, or helping with a donation drive. These are ideas, not a fixed test. Check with a TKN Guide before starting; we can agree on an activity suited to the child.
Need clothing right away?
Contact TKN directly. We will work with your family even if your child cannot complete a deed. No public hardship story is needed.
